Why ICSC Exhibit Builders Need Meeting-Space Experience

At most trade shows, a booth exists to stop people walking past. At ICSC, much of the business is booked in advance, and the booth is where those meetings happen. That changes what you need from a builder:

• The meeting plan sets the layout. How many conversations run at once, and how private they need to be, decide whether you need open tables, semi-private nooks or enclosed rooms.
• The front still has to work. Walk-up visitors need to see at a glance who you are and what you have: your portfolio, markets or available sites.
• Hospitality keeps meetings going. A coffee or bar counter, comfortable seating and storage for materials let a booked meeting run past its slot.
• Two exhibit-floor days leave little room for error. In 2026, the exhibit floor was open for two days. A booth that isn't ready, or that doesn't fit your meeting schedule, can undermine valuable conversations.

Not every ICSC exhibitor needs enclosed rooms. A smaller inline booth with a good table and clear graphics may be enough for a single broker. If you're running a full meeting schedule, ask builders for examples of meeting-led booths they've built and how they handled privacy, sound and seating.

ICSC Las Vegas Dates for 2027: Hours and Halls

The ICSC Las Vegas dates for 2027 are May 24–26, at the Las Vegas Convention Center (ICSC event page). As of October 15, 2026, ICSC hasn't published the 2027 exhibit-floor hours or hall schedule yet. In 2026, the event began on Monday, May 18, but the exhibit floor opened on Tuesday, May 19, and stayed open through Wednesday, May 20 (8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m., then 8:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m.). Don't assume the same pattern for 2027. Confirm the schedule before you finalize staffing, installation and meeting plans.

ICSC also sells meeting room space at the LVCC separately from booth space. The 2027 hall plan will be set once booth sales open. Send your booth number and hall to your builder as soon as you have them.

ICSC Exhibitor Timeline, Worked Back from May 24

ICSC has published a few 2027 dates on its event page. The exhibitor kit, with service-order and move-in deadlines, isn't out yet. The status column shows what's confirmed.

What's Included With an ICSC Booth, and the Rules to Know

ICSC's 2027 event page lists what comes with booth space:

• Standard carpeting
• 8 ft stretched white fabric walls (island booths don't get walls)
• One 11 × 17 in booth sign
• Booth vacuuming on the first night
• A listing in the event directory
• Access to content sessions
• Two exhibitor badges, with more for booths over 400 sq ft

Two rules from ICSC's event terms affect what you put in the booth. ICSC's event terms ask exhibitors not to bring materials related to political or social issues, including flags, banners or signs. And ICSC doesn't sell attendee lists, so treat any offer of an "ICSC attendee list" as a scam.

Booth height limits, hanging-sign rules and booth-approval requirements will be in the 2027 exhibitor kit. Ask your builder to design to those rules once they're published, not to another show's limits.

ICSC Booth Cost: What You Pay and Who Bills It

An ICSC budget has three main cost categories, which may all be billed separately. Builders usually quote only the booth itself, so account for all three before comparing proposals.

These costs may be billed by different parties. Before comparing proposals, ask each builder to show what's included, what's an estimate and what you'll need to arrange or pay for separately. Your final budget should cover booth space, registration, the exhibit itself and the show services your booth needs. LVCC meeting rooms are sold separately from booth space.

What ICSC booth space costs in 2027

ICSC publishes two 2027 rates. The advance rate runs until January 11, 2027, and saves about 30% on space (ICSC event page).

These figures cover exhibit space only. Add registration, the booth build, freight, installation, electrical and other show services when you build your total budget.

What changes the rest of the budget

• Enclosed meeting rooms. Walls, doors and ceilings add structure, labor and freight.
• Hospitality. Counters, refrigeration and seating add rentals and power.
• Build or rent. A reusable custom structure can make sense if you exhibit at several events and can adapt it to different spaces. A rental can lower the upfront cost for a one-off show, but compare the full cost of graphics, freight, installation, dismantle and storage.
• Timing. Booking space before January 11 and ordering services before the advance cutoff both cost less.

ICSC Booth Builders and Labor at the LVCC

ICSC hasn't published its 2027 exhibitor kit yet, so the official contractor, labor rules and move-in schedule aren't confirmed. Until they are, plan around these points:

• Outside installers. ICSC hasn't confirmed the 2027 registration process yet. If you plan to use an outside installer, ask ICSC which registration, insurance and labor requirements apply before you appoint the crew.
• Ask how your builder will staff the install. Confirm how the crew will comply with the show's and the venue's labor rules before you sign.
• Meeting rooms add install time. Enclosed rooms with walls, doors and ceilings take longer to build than an open booth. Ask your builder how much move-in time the design needs.

Whether an ICSC booth rental or a custom build fits depends on how often you exhibit, how many meetings you run and how much privacy the layout needs.

ICSC booth design ideas that work for dealmaking

• Show your portfolio at a glance. A map or property wall that a passing tenant or landlord can read from the aisle starts conversations.
• Separate meetings from walk-ups. Keep booked meetings away from the front so a walk-up visitor doesn't interrupt them.
• Plan for storage. Brochures, coats and hospitality supplies need a home that isn't the meeting table.

ICSC Las Vegas Floor Plan and Exhibitor List

As of October 2026, ICSC says booth sales for 2027 "will open soon", so the ICSC Las Vegas floor plan and the ICSC exhibitor list for 2027 aren't published yet. Check ICSC's event page as booth sales open and the exhibitor directory grows, and confirm the current floor plan before you finalize your layout. For planning now, the 2026 layout used the Central Hall and the Upper and Lower South Hall.

Once you have a booth number, send your builder a marked-up floor plan screenshot showing the aisle-facing sides, neighboring booths and any access limits. Then brief them on three things:

• Open sides. Which sides face main aisles decides where the portfolio wall and the main graphics go.
• Neighbors. A busy neighbor with constant walk-up traffic is a reason to put your meeting area on the far side.
• Hall location. A booth near a main entrance or registration may get more passing traffic, while one deeper in a hall may lean more on booked meetings.

Questions to Ask Before You Hire an ICSC Booth Builder

Send the same questions to every builder you're comparing. The answers tell you more than the renders do.

• Have you built meeting-led booths? Ask for photos of booths with private or semi-private rooms, and how they handled sound and seating.
• What's in your quote, and what isn't? Freight, installation labor, graphics, furniture, storage and on-site supervision should each be a clear yes or no.
• Who arranges the show services? Confirm how electrical, furniture, material handling and labor are ordered for the event, and whether your builder or your team handles each order.
• Will we see a floor-level layout before the render? It should show where each meeting happens, where walk-ups are greeted and where storage goes.
• Have you installed at the Las Vegas Convention Center? Recent LVCC experience helps with move-in timing.
• Can we reuse this booth at other ICSC events? Ask how the structure adapts to smaller spaces and what storage costs.
