April 2027 brings seven major US trade shows to five cities: ProMat, RSAC Conference, NAB Show, FDIC International, ISC West, HIMSS27 and MRO Americas. RSAC Conference, NAB Show, ISC West and HIMSS27 all overlap during April 4–9, which puts pressure on booth builders, crews and hotels. April 2027 is a busy month for US trade shows, with major events in Las Vegas, San Francisco, Chicago, Indianapolis and Orlando. Four of them, RSAC Conference, NAB Show, ISC West and HIMSS27, overlap during the first week of April.
Below are seven of the biggest April shows, with the dates, venues, audiences and booth-planning points exhibitors need to know. Attendance figures are the latest each show has published.

ProMat has the highest latest reported attendance among the shows covered here. The 2025 edition was the largest in its history, with 52,223 registered attendees from the US and 143 other countries, according to MHI. For 2027, the show promises more than 1,200 exhibits, 200 educational sessions and three keynotes. ProMat runs in odd years in Chicago; its sister show MODEX runs in even years.
Who attends: manufacturing, warehouse, distribution and supply chain buyers looking at automation, robotics, material handling and software.
Booth planning: Expect working machinery and automation demos, so plan power, floor load and safety zones early. McCormick Place's July 2026 rules let an exhibitor's own full-time employees (six months or more) set up and dismantle their booth with hand and power tools.

2. RSAC Conference 2027 – San Francisco, April 5–8

RSAC Conference is one of the largest cybersecurity events in the world. The 2026 edition drew more than 43,500 attendees and 600+ exhibitors, plus 400+ media members, according to RSAC. The 2027 conference uses all three Moscone buildings.
Who attends: security leaders, practitioners, vendors, investors and press.
Booth planning: Expo hall dates and hours for 2027 were not posted as of October 2026. With 600+ exhibitors in one city, your booth needs a short, clear message and space for both demos and private meetings. Startups can also look at the RSAC Early Stage Expo.

3. NAB Show 2027 – Las Vegas, April 3–7

NAB Show is the media and entertainment industry's marketplace, covering broadcast, streaming, production and content technology. The 2026 show drew more than 40,000 attendees from 144 countries, and nearly half were first-timers, according to NAB.
Who attends: broadcasters, studios, streaming platforms, creators and the technology companies that serve them.
Booth planning: NAB booths lean on screens, LED walls and live production demos, so AV, power and internet are a big part of the budget. NAB Show also shares the first week of April with ISC West in Las Vegas, so book crews and hotels early.

4. FDIC International 2027 – Indianapolis, April 12–17

FDIC International calls itself the largest training event for the fire and rescue industry in North America. It was first held in 1929 and has been in Indianapolis since 1998. The 2025 show drew 37,000+ attendees and 850+ exhibitors, according to the International Fire & Safety Journal.
Who attends: firefighters, fire officers and instructors, plus the departments that buy apparatus, gear and training.
Booth planning: Exhibit hours differ by venue. In the 2027 schedule, Lucas Oil Stadium opens at 10 AM on Wednesday April 14 and the convention center at 11 AM. FDIC's 2024 exhibitor FAQ said flooring is required in most areas and that pipe and drape is included for every booth except islands.

5. ISC West 2027 – Las Vegas, April 5–9

ISC West is the security industry's big US show, covering physical security, cybersecurity and converged security. The show reports $1.1 million in average buying power per attendee. SIA Education@ISC runs April 5–8, and the show floor includes an ISC StartUps area.
Who attends: integrators, dealers, end users, consultants and security manufacturers.
Booth planning: In 2025, all booth electrical work had to be done by Venetian Expo electricians, and booths of 400 sq ft or more had to bring or rent their own carpet. Live camera and access-control demos need network and power planned early.

6. HIMSS27 – Chicago, April 5–8

HIMSS is the health IT industry's global conference. For 2027 it moves from Las Vegas to McCormick Place in Chicago, before heading to Orlando in 2028. HIMSS says more than 24,000 people attended in 2026.
Who attends: hospital and health system IT leaders, clinicians, informatics teams and health tech vendors.
Booth planning: A new city means new venue and labor rules, even for returning exhibitors. At HIMSS26, flooring was mandatory, island designs needed show approval in advance, and HIMSS offered turnkey booths in 10x10, 10x20 and 20x20.

7. MRO Americas 2027 – Orlando, April 13–15

MRO Americas is Aviation Week's show for aircraft maintenance, repair and overhaul. MRO Americas had the smallest reported attendance on this list in its latest edition, but its audience is highly concentrated in aviation maintenance and airline procurement: more than 2,000 airline buyers attended in 2026, according to the show. The Military Aviation and Logistics Symposium (MALMS) is co-located.
Who attends: airline and MRO buyers, procurement teams and aviation parts and services suppliers.
Booth planning: The 2027 show moves to the West Concourse. Aviation Week's Better Stands guidance says raw space stands must meet at least Bronze level, which favors reusable and modular builds. In 2026, island booths could reach 16 ft, and hanging signs were allowed in islands only.

Why April 4–9, 2027 Matters for Exhibitors
RSAC Conference, NAB Show, ISC West and HIMSS27 all run in the same week. Their latest reported attendance adds up to more than 136,000 people.
- Builders and crews are stretched across several shows at once. Install and dismantle labor, freight carriers and rental inventory are shared.
- Two big shows share Las Vegas. NAB Show and ISC West overlap, so hotels and local crews fill early.
- Some brands exhibit at two of them. Security and tech companies often split between RSAC Conference and ISC West.
Our advice. If you exhibit in the first week of April, request builder quotes before the end of 2026.
Bonus: Natural Products Expo West 2027 (March)
If your spring calendar starts earlier, Natural Products Expo West is bigger than any April show on this list. The 2026 edition had more than 3,200 exhibiting brands and 66,000 registered attendees, according to New Hope Network.
